For this Halloween extra, we are playing for you from “The Story and Song From The Haunted Mansion” – from Wikipedia:
Disneyland Records released (it) as a record album in 1969. It featured the story of two teenagers, Mike and Karen, who get trapped inside the Haunted Mansion…. Some of the effects and ideas that were planned but never permanently made it into the attraction are mentioned here…..A second reissue was released on CD in 2009 for the Halloween season…

Where are the Cats planning to be at any given moment? Find out here! We discuss a variety of meets we are looking forward to over the next 2 weeks! Further info on meets can be found at the following:
There’s also Pixelmania, probably some kind of Lou Mongello thingy, DIS people everywhere!!!!! And then there’s that Girl’s Ride Out, Sunday, 10am at the Haunted Mansion. Maybe we’ll see you there? Follow on twitter as well, to catch on the scene info! “ThoseDarnCats”!
****Garageband FAIL! Oh boy – How freaky is the editing on this show??? Levels, mixing and synching promise to improve quickly!!
OK, people, here we go – We start off fast and furious with our own Isaac Strayes and the Tabbie Cats doing their own rendition of that fabulous, funky, defining a generation movie theme – “Cats! (Right On!)”, then we visit the Poetry Corner for a little beat inspired wackiness. Then the tangents begin to fly. Witness:
Edna says: “Dahlings, I think you are a bit confused on the whole 60’s/Mod/Nehru fashion happenings, dahlings! A Nehru jacket, my feline friends, involve the collar. Beatles’ suits? NO COLLARS.”
has treated the Cats to a little musical musing in the form of “Sweet Veterinarians” (apologies to Tim Curry – NOT Neil Diamond as I originally feared).
Then we’ve got more MegaMouseMeet Madness, as Lovely Sheila starts off this weeks round of questions with a whole bunch of MouseFesters! We also hear from Alice falling down down down the rabbit hole, and finish off with a song from Yehaa Bob himself!
And is Cat #2 the only one whose mind goes here when Jennifer mentions Francis the Ladybug?
Note to all – Mr. Bob Jackson was out for a bit to have back surgery and should be back (ha!) to work soon – check out his website for his schedule!

In addition to those some of those everyday, mundane things many of us are thankful for, like oh, I don’t know, stem cell research, friendship, reasonably good health, pets and a roof over our heads, the Cats are also thankful for REALLY important things like:
Family – from the Whatchamacallit to Cousin Betsy (and others whose names have been changed to protect the innocent), they remind us of from whence we come and show us that Disney truly is “a family problem”…
Okay, this one’s not strictly a “lost” Those Darn Cats episode . . . this one’s got a slightly different backstory. Once upon a time, we were recording a segment, and went on a tangent (shockingly enough!), and it simply just couldn’t return to the land of the family friendly. Sadly, the recording cut off mid-conversation, so Lisa and I got talking about the same topic again, and this time didn’t even bother trying to stay on target.
